Summer is almost gone...
Was it really here?? Our weather here in Banff was cool and damp this summer...but it didn't dampen the enthusiasm of our guides or our many guests. We have had another great year here at Warners. The Lodge and Tent Rides saw many new and returned riders, many who had the chance to see the black wolf that took up temporary residence at Sundance. Dennis and Morin had another busy year guiding our 6 day lodge and Kerry was out every week on the tent side. We saw the return of the Saddle Up crew, who wanted to come out 'just for fun.' We are also in the midst of planning our new trips for 2009. The 6 day Adventure Expedition pack trips have been postponed until 2010. The pack trips for next year are being held in conjunction with the Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies (TRCR). The camp is located a Johnson Creek Camp and many day rides will be going out from there. Don't forget we will still be offering our 2 and 3 day Lodge trips into the middle of October and we have room on a few of our September 4,5 and 6 day departures to both the lodges and the tenting camps. If your looking for a last minute holiday before the end of the summer, give us a call! An exciting trip being planned now is a photograhic trip with world renowned National Geographic photographer Raymond Gehman. Learn how to take those shots of the mountains you see in the magazines. We are also going to offer a family friendly trip next year in July and August. We are still working out the detail on that one soon stay tuned! The popular Grizzly trip is back and so is Sisters in the Saddle. These trips sell out fast so you may what to start planning now. Any way enough for now! I have loved my first summer here at Warners. I feel lucky to have joined the 'family'. Please feel free to contact me or Jill with any queries you have and we hope that you will join us out here on a ride! Regards, Melanie Edmonds
